Welcome

Meet Jesus and find community.

High Street Bible Church is a place where people can meet Jesus
and engage in life giving community. Everyone is welcome.

We believe in creating a space where people can have
authentic encounters with Christ,
discover their gifts and use them for God's glory.

Frequently asked questions

What times is your service?
We currently have one Sunday afternoon service at 4pm.

Why are you meeting in the afternoon?
We are in the middle of an exciting transition into a new building. While we wait for the permits and construction to finish at our permanent location on High Street, we are meeting at a host church, Cornerstone, and 4pm is the time that is available for us. We are so glad to have somewhere to meet, and you are more than welcome to join us, even in this time of transition.

What kind of attire should I wear?
When we gather on Sunday afternoon, dress tends to be pretty casual. There is always a mixture of ties and blue jeans as well as dresses and t-shirts.  Coffee and tea are available in the lobby before and after each service. This is a great time to gather and perhaps meet some new friends.

What to expect?
We begin with a time of singing.  Our worship teams employ a variety of musical styles, from hymns to contemporary worship songs. Some folks will sit while others will stand with hands raised. Regardless of the expression, we desire to make much of Jesus and glorify God in every lyric and song that is sang.

There will be a brief time for announcements, then parents will be dismissed to take their children to their appropriate classes. The next 40-45 minutes is devoted to the teaching and preaching of God's inspired Word. We believe in expositional preaching. That is to say, we believe in the passionate explanation and relevant application of Holy Scripture, verse by verse. All of the sermons preached at HSBC are available on our website and app, so please feel free to have a listen.

At the conclusion of the message, the worship team returns to lead a few more songs. Occasionally, the pastor will lead the church in communion together; however, during this second set of song, communion is made available every Sunday to those who profess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Our services typically run about 90 minutes from start to finish.

What about the kids?
We offer nursery through the sixth grade during our service. We use KidCheck Secure Check-In to make sure that only authorized guardians are picking the kids up after class. All of our teachers undergo training and are routinely screened with a complete background check to ensure our little ones are safe while they are in class.

We hope to see you soon!
